Hi, I’m Marla.
There's a lot hiding under this petite frame and goofy smile. There's the adventurous choreographer, the passionate educator, and the curious technologist. All of whom find excitement in innovation and exploration. Whether you're here to find out if I'm the next collaborator for your project or the energy force that will take your program to the next level, you'll find a person whose focus and creative spirit will bring success to your next endeavor.
How do I know? Because I've done it before. I've had the pleasure to work with a variety of theatre companies and nonprofits across the country as a choreographer/director, performer, educator, and coordinator. Some favorite past credits include: The Tempest (Colorado Shakespeare Festival), Manningcast: The Musical (ESPN & Omaha Productions), Simulations Developer (PhET Sims), Motif Awards Opening Number (Walt Disney Concert Hall), Next to Normal (University of Colorado Boulder), 42nd Street (The Spark), and more. For a more detailed view of my previous work check out my CV.
On a personal note... I'm an obsessed dog mom, avid consumer of food, and first generation Venezuelan-American. Most days you can find me lounging in the sun with my pup Sparky, or cozying up with a bag of cheddar goldfish and a good mystery.
